Digital File Storage
Images are stored as JPEG files on your disks; this will facilitate the maximum number of files while retaining a high quality image. All orders will include one set of CD's for storage, additional sets may be purchased and will be charged per disk. If you want your images divided into folders on your CD you will need to seperate the items and label them with the title you want for each folder.
All CD's are custom printed , which will personalize your digital collection. Standard printing is black & white with the caption that you specify. (

The number of files that can fit on a CD will vary depending on the size of the original image and the resolution at which it is scanned. For example the average size of a 35mm negative scanned at 2400 dpi is approximately 2 megabytes, since each CD holds 700 megabytes of data, you can store about 350 of these digital files on a CD. There is no exact way to determine exactly how many CD’s will be needed prior to scanning and editing the images. For specific questions regarding CD storage please send e-mail to:

Simply plug your USB flash drive into the USB port of any computer and a folder with the contents of your flash drive will appear, these files can then be transferred and saved on that computer. The USB drive will also work at most in store self service printing stations. Although the USB drives do cost more than CD’s they can store significantly more information for approximately 10 years and they are not as fragile and susceptible to damage.
