Why should I digitize my photos? |

Your photos are important and irreplaceable to you and your family. There's no better way to protect them than to convert them to digital format. Not only will the digital file last forever, it also makes a perfect copy every time. Once in digital form, photographs can be reprinted so that every member of the family can have a copy and digital pictures can be easily e-mailed to anyone in the world.

Do I get my original photos, negatives and slides back? |

When processing is complete all items are returned to you in the original packaging.

Do you offer discounts for large orders? |

Yes, discounts are available for orders over 250 scans. Please use the Get a Quote form for details.

My photos are in albums, is that a problem? |

Albums are accepted; however there will be an additional per page charge for removing and replacing photos. Also, please note that we will not attempt to remove any photos that are stuck to album pages.

How should I package my photos for shipping? |

Photos are accepted in whatever format you currently store them. You can ship your photos to us in boxes, slide carousels, envelopes or plastic bags. However, please take care in packaging your photos. Make sure they are secure in the package and won't shift during shipment. This can be accomplished by stuffing the box with paper or bubble wrap to fill the empty space. Be sure to use a durable package that can withstand shipping and won't be easily damaged.

What is DPI, and why does it affect the cost? |

DPI is an abbreviation of ‘dots per inch’, which indicates the resolution of images. Scan time will increase with higher DPI settings, as the scanner must collect and store more data. However, the greater the DPI, the richer the resulting image. If the image is to be enlarged, a high DPI setting is necessary.

Do I need to sort or organize my items before shipping? |

For most orders no sorting is required. However, if you are ordering a slideshow you will need to seperate those items put them in the order that you want and mark them clearly.
You may also choose to seperate your items if you want them divided into seperate folders on your CD or if you want items in a specific order.

Do you accept small orders? |

Yes, we will accept any size order, however there is a $10.00 processing fee for each order.
